System Engineer

System Engineer 8 is very close to release – and full updates will be published on this page when that is the case. At the current time, the software platform for all EM Acoustics products is still System Engineer 7, an application developed by Linea Research for setting up, controlling and monitoring a system of professional audio products in a uniform and consistent way across multiple networks. You can download the software here (no authorisation code is required).

Please note that in order to use the software effectively it is very important to update your firmware to the latest version which can be downloaded from the links below. 

Preset Library

The link below is for the very latest preset libraries for all devices – please read the release notes carefully before installing.  Please also ensure you download the correct library for your device – FIR-enabled devices will have an “F” suffix in System Engineer (ie will appear in the device list as “DQ20F” for example).  Please also note for these v4 & v2.5 libraries, there is a specific library for each type of device – DQ Series amplifiers, Di Series amplifiers, DSC48 controllers.

Legacy Preset Library

The links below are for the original libraries for all devices – these are still available for reprogramming of amplifiers in circumstances where upgrading to v2.5 is not practical or possible.  Please also ensure you download the correct library for your device – FIR-enabled devices will have an “F” suffix in System Engineer (ie will appear in the device list as “DQ20F” for example).

DQ Series Firmware

Here you will find the current and historic device firmware files for the DQ Series amplifiers.  There are two file types, depending on whether your amplifier is FIR enabled or not.  FIR-enabled amplifiers will appear with an “F” suffix (for example “DQ20F”) in the device list on System Engineer.  Please ensure you download the correct file type, although the software will not allow you to load the incorrect firmware file.

EASE Focus 3 by AFMG Software is a free simulation software platform for modelling loudspeaker performance in various situations.  The link downloads a Zip archive with the software installer as well as all current EM Acoustics loudspeaker model data files.
