The drive unit is housed within a compact, vented enclosure constructed from premium 15mm (5/8”) multi-laminate Birch plywood. Its compact dimensions enable it to be unobtrusively installed in restricted spaces such as under seating in clubs and bars. A total of 14 M10 threaded fixings are incorporated around the enclosure on the top, bottom, sides, and rear for attachment of rigging hardware and safeties. The enclosure includes a pair of Neutrik® speakON™ NL4 connectors for input and enclosure link. A tough perforated steel grille protects the drive unit from damage, and can be quickly removed for service purposes. The enclosure is finished in black or white textured paint as standard, however RAL colour matching options are also available.

The i-R12 is designed to provide useful low frequency extension in installation applications, where space is at a premium. The i-R12 can support any product, but is especially suitable for reinforcing EMS-41, EMS-51, EMS-61 and EMS-81X loudspeakers.

The i-R12 requires a single amplifier channel, and should be used with professional power amplifiers capable of delivering 1000 to 1400W RMS into an 8-ohm load. For optimal results, either the DQ Series Advanced System Amplifiers, or the AQ or AD Series amplifiers combined with DSC48 processors should be used.
